The former convenience store, also known as the Accommodation Massawippi, is a key location in the village of North Hatley. Everyone passes in front of it! At the moment, work seems to have stopped. Rumors have it that it was to be a pasta restaurant.

What a great idea! I’m one of those people who believes that there’s a lack of restaurants in the village. In fact, the more there is, the more traffic there is. Unfortunately, the opposite is also true. A village can’t live without commerce, despite what some people think. Indeed, the less interest there is in a town, the more it encourages the exodus of residents. This probably has less impact on temporary residents who come for the summer and holiday seasons.

Citizens are wondering about the future of this location. It’s been vacant for several months now. It’s sad to lose such a well-located commercial space.
In my opinion, it’s detrimental to other businesses.

If you have any more information about the future of this business, please let me know. I’m sure that most citizens are anxious to see something appear at this location. If the rumors are true, why not a pasta restaurant? A place to dine with customers, friends and family.

On that note, I look forward to seeing this space revitalized and animated!
