Many people are wondering about the situation of the small beach at parc Lobâdanaki next to the federal wharf, which is now fenced off. Many believed that the land belonged to the Municipality of North Hatley. However, after verification, the land is the property of L’ASSOCIATION POUR LA PROTECTION DU LAC MASSAWIPPI INC. known as Bleu Massawippi.

The land at Veterans Park belongs to the municipality of North Hatley and the land at the federal wharf (downhill) belongs to the Quebec government. Sorry for the confusion between Parc des Vétérans and Lobâdanaki, the Ministère and Google don’t say the same thing.

No public announcement has been made by Bleu Massawippi concerning the closure of this public access to Lake Massawippi. I have not found any publication specifying the reasons for the closure of this previously public and free space. You can visit their Facebook page. To my knowledge, there has been no announcement from North Hatley village.

Quebec Business Register

If you wish to find a lot number to register in the North Hatley Land Registry, you must first obtain the lot via the interactive InfoLot from gouvernement du Québec. You can then search the land register for the correct lot number.

In conclusion, there were several rumours indicating that the land belonged to the Municipality of North Hatley or the Government of Quebec. These rumours have now been corrected, as the land belongs to Bleu Massawippi.
