On May 30, I applied for a key to the gate at the federal dock boat ramp as a fishing guide. While talking with a fellow fishing guide on Lake Massawippi, I discovered that he had been able to obtain a key to the federal dock gate so that he could enter and exit with his fishing boat early in the morning and late in the evening for his fishing trips. That is why I thought it would be a good idea to request a key for the same purpose as a fishing guide, namely to enter and exit my fishing boat early in the morning and late at night.
The municipality’s response on June 3, 2025, was that everything would be presented at a working meeting of elected officials. As of July 21, 2025, nearly 52 days later, my request has still not been answered by the municipality. The working meeting will no doubt take place soon. I will therefore remain patient.
Obviously, we are now in the summer season. With the holidays, I will probably have to wait until August and maybe September to get a response. Unfortunately, that pretty much coincides with the end of the fishing season. I would still appreciate a follow-up!
I hope to hear back soon, although I don’t have much hope!
