The elections have been officially open since September 19. The nomination period runs from September 19 to October 3, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. Québec.You can follow the progress of the nominations on Élections Québec.
All candidates who were still in office are seeking re-election in the village. Interestingly, one candidate is running against Marcella Davis-Gerrish for mayor. I must admit that this will make the elections more exciting than a vote by acclamation.
However, there are no opponents yet for the councilor positions.
So, if that doesn’t change, they will be elected by acclamation, which means that no election will be held for those positions. The candidate is automatically declared elected, without the need for a vote.
