Élection Montréal is an excellent example of a citizen platform. It provides all the essential information about candidates and important dates, presented in a simple and consistent manner. Each candidate has a page featuring their photo and a short text describing their motivations, platform, and priorities.

This is a very interesting approach, as it allows voters to easily identify the candidates, understand their platforms, and make an informed choice, all in a few lines that are accessible to everyone. In fact, a friendly discussion meeting would be relevant for citizens.

Inspired by this approach, I invite the candidates in North Hatley to do the same: briefly introduce themselves, explain their motivations, and outline how they wish to improve the quality of life in our village. I also invite candidates to contact me if they would like to publish their profile on North Hatley Info or elsewhere. Regardless, I offer my sincere assistance to all candidates in North Hatley.

In my opinion, this is a great way to show respect for citizens by providing them with clear, transparent, and comparable information. After all, our main mission as elected officials is to work concretely to improve the collective well-being.

This is very interesting because voters have the opportunity to get to know the candidate and learn about their reasons and motivations for running. All in a few simple lines that are easy to understand.

I would like to take this opportunity to do the same and invite the candidates to do the same in order to introduce themselves and, above all, present their ideas on how they intend to improve the quality of life in North Hatley, since that is our main mission as elected candidates.

I would like to take this opportunity to do the same and invite the candidates to do so as well, in order to introduce themselves and, above all, present their ideas on how they intend to improve the quality of life in North Hatley, since that is our main mission as elected officials.

Why am I introducing myself?

I believe that the current governance system has significant shortcomings. North Hatley deserves a municipal council that is more diverse and representative in terms of age, gender, profession, and opinion.
I want to put my skills and energy to work for the common good, in a transparent, structured, and forward-looking manner.

My vision for improving quality of life in North Hatley

  • Establish greater transparency in communications and disseminate decisions and results to make them accessible to all.
  • Bring positivity and dynamism to the council to revive citizens’ interest in municipal politics.
  • Use new technologies to create an open dialogue with citizens, both in person and online.

My 3 priorities

  1. Sound and transparent financial management
    • Rigorous monitoring of public spending.
    • A neutral and accessible presentation of municipal finances.
  2. Restoring access to the lake
    • Find concrete solutions so that all citizens can enjoy access to Lake Massawippi.
  3. Create an interactive and vibrant community ecosystem
    • Promote a positive and inclusive environment for everyone.
    • Support a project by volunteer ambassadors in North Hatley to boost local life and tourism.

My favorite place in North Hatley

Lake Massawippi, with my wife and children. For fishing and the peace and quiet it provides.
