A garbage collection they call “pay to collect”. A total of 1,200 pounds of garbage were collected in Lake Massawippi. It’s hard to understand how all this garbage ended up at the bottom of the lake. Toilets, tires and a nasty bunch of junk! What a great initiative! Bravo and thank you to these people. It’s essential!
I think the Massawippi River needs this kind of operation. Besides, it’s more accessible to everyone, because you don’t need diving equipment. The river is only 6-7 feet deep. I see a lot of coins and cans when I go out on the lake. I’d like to challenge any interested citizens to be the first to put their boots and boat to work on a clean-up operation in the Massawippi River. Alone, it’s a bit long and difficult!
On that note, I’m still available for a Massawippi River clean-up.
