The municipality sent out a press release stating that an extraordinary meeting of the town council would be held the following day at 1:00 pm. I’m not an expert, but it seems to me that this is very short notice for important decisions concerning the awarding of contracts. And in the middle of the afternoon. Few people will show up, and many citizens won’t even have time to read the notice sent at 2:05 p.m. for a meeting at 1:00 p.m. the next day, i.e., less than 24 hours later.
Among the items on the agenda
- Awarding of contract – paving work
- Awarding of contract – street marking work
- Amendment to resolution 2024 on marina management
These are good topics that concern citizens for a notice of less than 24 hours. Is it normal to give citizens so little time to take note of this notice? No doubt the municipality is making sure that it is acting properly to respect its citizens. Curious to know the size of the crowd this afternoon at city council.
