Since the beginning of summer, I’ve noticed that grass is growing around the marina and in the municipal parking lot. To be honest, the marina building is in a state of disrepair, so when you add long grass, you’d think the whole thing had been abandoned.

I understand that the municipality of North Hatley doesn’t have the money to redo the building, but it certainly has the means to do the trimming. Many citizens are wondering why the grass isn’t cut. What’s more, it’s not advisable to leave long grass, given the tick problem.

Some citizens are preparing to trim the long grass themselves to improve the cleanliness of the area. It seems to me that these are simple things to do to keep the village clean. Besides, it’s one of the most visited places in North Hatley, and the most run-down.

On that note, get out your trimmer and head for the marina!
